Any comments, feel free to post on the General boards
Note: It is widely known that many monarchies check each others websites out, for pertinent information that might be beneficial to them that might not otherwise be known. If any guilds other than the FoF wish to use this updated list for their own members, please give us credit where credit is due. Keeping the thief list can be a time consuming task. I will do the same when I use someone else's information.
**Disclaimer: Remember, this list is specifically made for the Fellowship of Friends, so that the members of our guild can, in their own right, consult this list to avoid possible thieves. It is NOT a be all to end all thievery, and I myself, nor the rest of the members of the FoF hold any accountability for names that might be incorrectly added to the list, or spelling errors. If your guild so chooses to copy our list, you do so knowing that some of the information here could possibly be wrong. I do my best to be accurate, and to check and double check my sources, as well as cross reference for pertinent information. If you feel a name has been incorrectly added, or is spelled incorrectly, please feel free to send me a PM on the VN Boards here: Snow_Angel_HG , and not here on our boards.
Lastly, if you decide to copy or link our list, please send me a link to your forum, or website where it is copied to the above link for my Vault name.
If you are a Monarch, or you keep a list of thieves on your own website and would like to be informed of updates, I would be more than happy to send you a PM via the IGN Vault. Just provide me with your Vault ID
This list will be updated regularly, using many sources, many websites, many forums, and a large number of AC players. It is not infallible, so, Use your own discretion.
ADDED: People who have griefed others in game or in real life will be added as well. You don't want to get yourself involved with someone who has a few bats in the belfry. These people will be listed but in Red

1: Never ever drop mule! and if you HAVE to, do it in your house or apartment or in the mansion dungeon (remember items drop muled in residences can possibly disappear faster. Make sure your house is Closed)
2: When giving items to an other Char ALWAYS use the Give item button (can be set up under keyboard settings)
3: Don’t ever show anyone the Armor you are wearing and if you HAVE to
place it in your main inventory or in a pack together with a non drop
item (focus stone) and drag it in the window
4: If you need tinkering services or trade mule services ALWAYS Id the
people offering, Never Use a person lower then lvl 50 and or a person
without a guild (If you need I can recommend some people)
5: When buying or selling a House Apartment Villa or Mansion ALWAYS use
a Known middle man to hold the payment till the house has changes owner
(Do
NOT forget to have the right amount of notes on you - THere are Decal
programs that can alert someone immediately when a residence becomes
available)
6: If a char whos name you haven’t seen before contacts you and claims
to be a friend or patron/vassal/monarch and asks to borrow or see a
item of yours ALWAYS ask for proof such as having them log on a char
you know or answer a question only the real person would know
7: If you die and a strange person offers to bring you your body ONLY accept if you have NO other way to get it
8: If you are buying or selling a item and the buyer or seller says the
item is on a other char NEVER give your payment or item to an other
char ALWAYS request to only trade with the char holding the item or
payment
9: When buying an item that’s only drop on death ALWAYS use a middle man
WAY to many people daily lose items and sings to thieves
and once a item is lost there’s usually no way of getting it back
If someone steals from you or tried to, mke an attempt to use the /log command and take screenshots and post the proof here (Ign Vault or Asheron-Online - The latter you can upload images from your PC to the forum for free) so others may be warned
Also it's a good idea to squelch the account of the thief making sure he wont ever be able to steal from you with a other char
Warn others about him if you are in marketplace or subway (but take care to not spam the general population.)
The most common ways for the thief’s to steal is following
1: the drop window trick ( they ask to see a item and then close the trade window making you drop the item for them to pick up)
2: Claiming to be a friend or alliance member to 'borrow' a item
3: Claiming to have trade or tinkering skills
4: Thieves will very often use a name of a known person ( like Lorcan's mule - Mepha's storage - Marcus - Eldreaa, or add an apostrophe on the character's name like Darken Lore' )
5: Thieves will also offer to buy or sell you a item but claimed the
payment/item is in a other char and then ask you to pay the char they
are on now because others out of room
6:With housing trades they will make a char names close to the name of
a random char that owns a house and then offer to sell it and then asks
for the payment because other char owning the house is logged on a
quest or something like that
7: Others may try sell non drop items and demand payment to release the
body after they looded death items and of course the item they was
claiming to sell leaving you with nothing but a empty body
